A Pickaxe Wielding Maniac Finds A Victim On The ‘Ash And Bone’ Poster

The poster has arrived for Harley Wallen’s (Eternal Code) horror film Ash and Bone, starring Jamie Bernadette (I Spit on Your Grave: Deja Vu) and Mel Novak (Bruce Lee’s Game of Death). The film follows a rebellious teen named Cassie Vanderbilt (Angelina Danielle Cama), whose wild streak escalates as her caring father Lucas (Harley Wallen) decides to take her and his new wife Sarah (Kaiti Wallen) out of the city for some bonding and quality time together. But after Cassie crosses the infamous McKinley family (Jimmy Doom and Erika Hoveland), it becomes clear that sometimes danger lies hidden in the weeds, ready to strike at any moment. Ash and Bone, penned by Bret Miller, is produced by Painted Creek Productions, Cama Productions, and Auburn Moon. Calhoun Koenig (Law & Order SVU) and Shane Hagedorn (Wild Faith) round out the cast. The imagery I believe is our best yet and I felt the performances on both sides of the camera were

DVD Review: The Siren (2019)

Pious mute Tom (Evan Dumouchel) goes on a sabbatical to one of those remote lake houses that are all the rage with kids ages 18 to 54. Seems all well and good, but the location is an odd choice for our hero seeing as he had a water related tragedy as a youth that resulted in his current malady. Once he makes the scene he meets Al (MacLeod Andrews), whose husband drowned in the local lake… as have many. Al thinks there’s a mystery afoot… a mystery perhaps related to a woman named Nina (Margaret Ying Drake) who often swims to the cabin and chats with tom who has become all cat with a shiny object with the lass, who as fate and this movie would have it may be more than she seems. So what makes The Siren worth your time? Let’s start with the performances of Dumouchel, Drake, and Andrews. Dumouchel is absolutely amazing to watch in a

Don’t Breathe 2 Is Finally Happening!

Fede Alvarez has been teasing a sequel to his 2016 home invasion hit Don’t Breathe for a while. This week the sequel has been given the green light to begin production, THR is reporting. Alverez will not be directing, Rodo Sayagues will be. The film is in good hands though Sayagues is not only the co-writer of Don’t Breathe, he also co-wrote Alverez’s Evil Dead reboot. The two penned the Don’t Breathe sequel together as well. Stephen Lang will be back to reprise his role as the badass blind man from the first film. “Don’t Breathe 2 is set several years after the home invasion of the first movie, with the Blind Man living in quiet solace…until his past sins catch up to him.” Production is set to begin in April with Alvarez producing alongside Sam Raimi and Rob Tapert of Ghost House Pictures. Don’t Breathe follows three friends who break into a blind man’s home hoping for an easy

Movie Review: VFW Is Entertaining As Hell

When you hear the names Stephen Lang, William Sadler, Fred Williamson, Martin Kove, David Patrick Kelly, and George Wendt you automatically think that you’re in for a good movie, so when I heard about Joe Begos’ horror flick VFW I was psyched. I eagerly waited for my chance to see it and last night I did. The film follows a group of veterans hanging out at their local VFW when a young woman, “Lizard (Sierra McCormick),” runs in with a bag of drugs stolen from a dealer. The veterans feel obligated to protect the girl and when the dealer’s people come for the drugs it’s an all-out fight for survival, but the group is not going out without a fight. As always Lang doesn’t disappoint. The man must have been a lumberjack in a previous life, he is 68 and swings an ax in like it was what he was meant to do. He is 100% a badass! He plays
