Dead Days Season One Episode Two by Ryan Casey

(Pardon the author picture. The only cover image I could find for Episode Two was tiny!) Back in January I reviewed Ryan Casey’s best selling Dead Days Season One, Episode One. He was kind enough to send me a copy of the Dead Days Complete Season One Collection (Books 1-6) that is currently available on Amazon (and a myriad of other retailers) to check out and review. So far I have only gotten through Season One Episode Two, but what a ride! Scene Description: 5/5 I may have said it before, but I’ll say it again. I love Casey’s writing style. The level of detail put into each and every scene really drives whatever emotion or action is featured home. There are truly devastating scenes in Dead Days S1E2, just as there are thrilling action sequences. Movie Review : The Atticus Institute (2015)

In 1966 a small lab is opened to study psychic abilities. When Judith (Rya Kihlstedt) joins the study in 1976, the scientists are astounded by her abilities. Soon the government seizes the facility, with the intent of weaponizing the woman, but they will get much more than they bargained for. This faux documentary film was written and directed by Chris Sparling and stars William Mapother (The Grudge) as Dr. Henry West, who opened the Atticus Institute. Julian Acosta (The Lords of Salem), Jake Carpenter (Alive), Brian Chenoweth (The Artist), Hannah Cowley (Get Him To The Greek) and Aaron Craven (The Day The Earth Stood Still) star along side ‘Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.’ actor Carlos E. Campos. I am not a huge fan of “found footage”, but it suited ‘The Atticus Institute”. Actress Rya Kihlstedt (Dexter) did a fantastic job in her role as Judith. Movie Review: The Voices (2014)

Jerry (Ryan Rynolds) is a lovable guy, he just happens to hear voices. Jerry navigates life with the help of his talking pets. Jerry’s dog is a sweetheart, but his cat is a dick. Mr. Whiskers wants Jerry to give in to his murderous instincts. Jerry has a big crush on Fiona (Gemma Arterton), a girl in the accounting department of the plant where he works, but when Fiona stands him up for a date, she sets off a series of events that ends with her head being kept in his refrigerator. ‘The Voices’ was directed by Marjane Satrapi and was written by Michael R. Perry. Anna Kendrick (Twilight) plays the role of Lisa, who has a bit of a crush of Jerry. ‘The Voices’ also stars Jacki Weaver (Stoker) and Ella Smith (Cinderella). This horror-comedy was fantastic. Movie Review : The Houses October Built (2014)

The producers of ‘Insidious’brings us the story of a group of friends set out on a road trip to visit the best haunted houses. The group is looking for the most extreme haunt they can find. At the haunted houses they begin to hear rumors of a haunted house in Louisiana that has a reputation for being truly terrifying. The friends head to Louisiana and follow the hints they’re given, to find the haunted house’s secret location, but they may get more than they bargained for. Bobby Roe directed this found footage film, as well as serving as one of it’s writers and playing the part of Bobby. Movie Review : ‘Wrong Turn 6 : Last Resort’

When a Danny (Anthony Ilot) inherits a secluded hotel in the West Virginia hills from the grandfather he barely knew, he takes a group of friends up to the hotel to check it out. Behind the beautiful rustic decor of the hotel hides a dark family secret that is about to revealed. The hotel staff consists of the brother and sister pair Sally (Sadie Katz) and Jackson (Chris Jarvis). Sally and Jackson have plans for Danny and the group. One by one the members of the group are killed off by members of “the family”. After Sally and Jackson introduce Danny to the rest of the family, it’s open season on the group of friends. Movie Review : ‘Housebound’ (2014)

Kylie (Morgana O’Reilly), a young woman has gotten herself into a bit of trouble. She now finds herself living with her estranged mother (Rima Bucknell) and step father Graeme ( Ross Harper) in her child home home. Movie Review : ‘Ouija’

We have all heard of the Ouija board, most of us have toyed with one. In the backs of our minds there was always the question, What if it isn’t just a game? ‘Ouija’ explores the possibility that the board really can communicate with the other side and what can go wrong.
