Movie Review: Daniel Isn’t Real

I sat down last night to watch director Adam Egypt Mortimer’s most recent film, Daniel Isn’t Real, with no expectations thanks to the vague synopsis that was released. I have to say, that avoiding giving out a lot of information was a fantastic idea. We often have movies spoiled by too detailed synopsis and movie trailers. The story follows a young man named Luke who is struggling with life. His mom is mentally ill and he’s having issues himself. When his shrink learns of Luke’s childhood imaginary friend Daniel he recommends revisiting the friend who has been locked in a dollhouse since Luke’s childhood. At first, it seems that the imaginary friend is a good thing, Daniel is bringing Luke out of his shell. But things quickly go to hell in a handbasket. Miles Robbins stars as Luke, a kind, soft-hearted man who fears that his mother’s mental problems may have been handed down to him. With Daniel (Patrick Schwarzenegger),

Jamie Lee Curtis Says ‘Halloween’ Is Terrifying!

We are officially halfway to Halloween, but today everyone is talking about the new Halloween movie thanks to the first official poster being released. To top it off, Laurie Strode herself, Jamie Lee Curtis revealed during a conversation with Yahoo that horror fans are “… gonna love this movie.” I’ve seen a trailer and I’ve seen some footage, and it’s terrifying,” Curtis told the site. “They went full-tilt boogeyman. And I’ve never said that in my life, and I will say full-tilt boogeyman for the rest of the year as I go around talking about this.” Curtis also mentioned what she though title of the movie should’ve been. There was the idea of, ‘What do you call it?’ If I had had my druthers, I probably would’ve called it Halloween Retold. Because it’s being retold. It’s the original story in many, many, many ways. Just retold 40 years later with my granddaughter.” In the film, directed by David Gordon Green

Disney Star To Play Yong Jeffrey Dahmer In New Film

Twenty-five years ago, Jeffery Dahmer became a household name after he committed a series of brutal murders. His legacy of evil still lingers today. Before he became a serial killer, he was a relatively normal child and teenager. At his school, Revere High School in Ohio, Dahmer had friends, and did the things most teenagers do. One of his friends was author Derf Backderf. Backderf began his graphic novel in 2012 based their high school friendship, titled ‘My Friend Dahmer’. The graphic novel is now being adapted for a full-length film. Young Dahmer will be played by Disney star and musician Ross Lynch. Lynch’s role is completely opposite of his clean-cut Disney image. He’s going from roles in films like ‘Teen Beach Movie’ to playing the young killer. Lynch is the spitting image of young Dahmer.
