At the eighth annual Italian Video Game Awards, Remothered: Tormented Fathers won best Italian Game of 2018, a well-deserved win for Stormind Games and Darril Arts. The third person stealth horror game takes place in 1970’s Italy where players take on the role of Rosemary Reed as she investigates the disappearance of a young girl which brings her to the mansion of Dr. Felton. Soon her investigation becomes a game of cat and mouse as she is stalked by a crazed Dr. Felton, the mysterious Jennifer, and the overzealous Red Nun. 2018 was a sad year for horror video games. Many games that were scheduled to be released were pushed back to the upcoming year while some that were supposed to start going into development in ’18 simply never happened. Even some titles that were released slipped through the cracks without even drawing attention, but like most crappy things in life, there’s a silver lining, in this case, five of them. Without further ado and in no particular order, here are my Top 5 Horror Games Of 2018. The most prominent plot device that helps make this game a success is the fact

“Remothered: Tormented Fathers”, a survival horror video game that’s a throwback to classic interactive entertainment titles that define the genre. With the impending console release less than 24 hours away (July 25, 2018) the game and its hardworking developers received some (well deserved) recognition and praise from a legend in the horror gaming field. Chris Darril, creative director of “Remothered: Tormented Fathers” received a tweet from Keiichiro Toyama who praised the game. Toyama is the creator of critically acclaimed gaming horror phenomenon “Silent Hill”. To put it in perspective to some, this is the equivalent of Leonardo da Vinci saying the sketch you just drew was amazing, Dave Grohl liking a melody you were humming, or Alfred Hitchcock praising your two-minute long film project. Not only did Toyama praise the game, he even expressed interest in doing a project together with Darril someday which a big deal is since Toyama’s past works “Silent Hill” and “Siren” helped inspired “Remothered: Tormented

The cool hardworking folks over at Darril Arts gave me the opportunity to play the Xbox One version of their awesome horror-stealth game ‘Remothered: Tormented Fathers’ in a previous article I spoke of this. The game is out now on PC but will be out on PS4 and Xbox ONE July 25th. It’s been a while since a horror game actually spooked me! I would play the game, take a break from it and partially vow to never play again but the story drew me back in because I wanted to see what happens next! The story takes place in 1970’s Italy and follows a woman named Rosemary Reed who came to the mansion of Dr. Felton to ask about his health while in reality, her true intention is to find out what happened to his daughter Celeste who has gone missing years ago. After her investigation abruptly ends, she breaks into the mansion at night and quickly things get
