Netflix’s Releases Out Of This World Trailer For Sci-Fi Series “The Silent Sea”

Netflix’s highly-anticipated sci-fi thriller series “The Silent Sea,” has a new trailer that takes viewers to the moon for a secret mission. In the series, during a perilous 24-hour mission on the moon, space explorers try to retrieve samples from Balhae Station, a research facility steeped in classified secrets, after it goes radio silent only for things to go terribly wrong. We get the impression that something bad, possibly a creature or virus is to blame. Two actors from Netflix’s other hit South Korean series “Squid Game,” Gong Yoo, Heo Sung-tae, star in “The Silent Sea” which is directed by Choi Hang-yong who wrote and directed the 2014 short film The Sea of Tranquility which the series is based on. “The Silent Sea” premieres on Netflix on December 24, 2021.

4k UHD Review: Dune (1984)

Holy hell, how in the shit am I going to condense down David Lynch’s adaptation of Frank Herbert’s 1965 epic sci-fi novel; Dune for the sinister synopsis portion of this revoltin’ review?!! Umm, so the Emperor of the Universe (José Ferrer) decides that the two most powerful houses in the galaxy; the noble House Atreides and the vile House Harkonnen… the latter of which is about to be relieved of their duty running the day to day of the harvesting and processing of the most precious item in all of space; the Spice Melange (which can be used to “fold” space making travel times nearly non-existent) on the dessert world of Arrakis by the Atreides (who have been developing a fighting system based on sound) by command of the Emperor… which will not only put the House Atreides so far away that they can’t possibly cause him static… and just to make sure they won’t, he has plans of returning

Blu-ray Review: Flight to Mars (1951)

Physicist Dr. Lane (John Litel) and his crew of intrepid… well, they sure as shit aren’t astronauts… I don’t know… casual acquaintances mostly, board a stereotypical 1950’s sci-fi flick rocket and begin the first expedition to Mars. After a pain in the asteroids… involving meteors, the ship is forced to crash land on the angry red planet… so no return trip ya dig? But all is not lost, as our heroes encounter the entirely human looking inhabitants of Mars (and the award to the most cheap-ass aliens goes to… ) which speak English (also cheap!) thanks to monitoring earth transmissions, and live in a vast, technologically advanced city below the planet’s surface. Our heroes of course ask their hosts to use their tech to repair their damaged craft, and they totally agree… as long as they can copy the vessel to create a fleet with which the aliens can escape their depleted home world. I’m sure there is no ulterior

Movie Review: The Return

Set to be released this month, The Return follows Rodger who returns home from college with his best friend and girlfriend to settle the affairs of his recently deceased father. Soon they begin to witness strange and unsettling occurrences in the house. Rodger is plagued by strange childhood memories about being haunting by a ghostly presence. These memories boil over into reality culminating in an intense confirmation as a dark secret is uncovered. This indie film will have you convinced that you know what is happening. However, what’s really going on is very different. The twist is a nice touch and completely changes the film’s trajectory and makes the story much more interesting. It’s something we haven’t seen a million times. Richard Harmon delivers a convincing portrait of a young man haunted by too much death and his desperation to discover the truth behind his and his family’s past. I did find several of his emotional reactions a bit odd.

Amazon Celebrates Success Of ‘The Tomorrow World’ With New Killer Poster

To celebrate the success of The Tomorrow War, Amazon has teamed up with Aldis Hodge’s (Brother of The Tomorrow War star Edwin Hodge and Star of One Night in Miami) artist collective, 9B Collective, to create an out of this world poster (above) featuring the film’s main cast. 9B Collective’s Kevin Tong created the final image saying: “Amazon’s THE TOMORROW WAR is at its core, a story about everyday people from all walks of life coming together to fight against an overwhelming threat. The part in the film that best exemplifies that is the portal because it is both a literal and figurative doorway to salvation and everyone goes through it and emerges at the same time, right into the action. The themes of diversity and using a doorway to drop into danger definitely informed this poster. To heighten that sense of danger and to create a stronger feeling of motion, I chose to make the direction of falling diagonal
