Ghost Face Comes To ‘Dead By Daylight’

To celebrate the third anniversary of their game’s release, Behavioral Interactive is bringing the modern slasher character, Ghost Face, to their growing stable of killers in the multiplayer game of cat-and-mouse Dead by Daylight. Ghost Face became a slasher film icon in the ’90s where he first appeared in Wes Craven’s film Scream and continued to be the antagonist in all four films. Ghost Face’s MO usually involved him calling his victims on the phone before striking. The Ghost Face DLC will be coming to Dead by Daylight on PC and console on June 18th. Ghost Face will have three perks along with his powers. Our masked killer will have two exclusive items, a silvery steel tactical knife weapon, and the monochrome mania body. Along with the new character, Dead by Daylight will also be coming to Nintendo Switch September 24th and will include nine killers, ten survivors, and three cosmetic packs.

We Need To Talk About Michael

News of Jamie Lee Curtis’s return to the long-running Halloween franchise almost broke the Internet a few weeks ago. Some online posts were akin to The Beatles US arrival or the announcement of The Force Awakens. Blumhouse has taken the reigns and hopes to run with it. Part of this Cynema post asks, “to where?” There is nothing wrong with what Blumhouse is doing. Films get made, they get sequels, they get remakes. Hats off to any franchise that lasts forty years and remains relevant. However, there are a number Cynema-like elements to this. While everyone gushes about what this means to horror, I am going to look at just what this means to horror. Fan Reaction Details trickled in not long after the initial euphoria. Would this new film ignore the events after Carpenter’s original ’78 film? The news of Judy Greer joining the new film as Laurie Strode’s daughter sent a new wave of concern among online nerd-dom.

5 Back To School Horror Films To Watch This Week

For many young horror fans out there it’s the scariest time of the year. It’s back to school! To ease the pain we thought we’d give you a list of some of the best school-themed horror flicks we could think of. You’ll find plenty of “cheese” on the list, too–the perfect way to unwind after a day of playing by the rules and broadening your intellectual self. So close that math book for a bit and check out our 5 back to school horror recommendations. 1. Prom Night (1980) “The killers are coming!” Prom might seem ages away right now, but it’s never too early for this 1981 classic slasher. Watch scream queen Jamie Lee Curtis (Halloween, The Fog) and Naked Gun star Leslie Nielson (Creepshow) try to survive prom night as a masked killer stalks four teenagers who accidentally killed a classmate 6 years earlier. 2. Scream (1996) If you’re hosting a “Back 2 School” party, this would be

Woman (In Horror) Crush Wednesday: Linda Blair

Well, my Little Monsters, we are at that point in the week where we make that downhill run towards the weekend. Now I had another actress originally slated to be highlighted today, but I made a calculated decision to focus on Linda Blair due to an event that’s happening this weekend. In two days Days of the Dead is descending on Indianapolis for three days of horror related festivities, and Linda was very recently confirmed to be in attendance as one of many media guests. With that in mind I felt it appropriate to go ahead and highlight this particular wonderful Woman of Horror, that I would have undoubtedly have written about eventually. So without further ado, I give you Miss Linda Blair. Linda was the baby in her family, being the youngest of three children. She was born in St. Louis, Missouri, but would grow up in Westport, Connecticut. Linda’s career kicked off at the tender age of five,

Woman (In Horror) Crush Wednesday: Neve Campbell

Welcome back my Little Monsters. If it’s Wednesday, you all know it’s time to show a little love to one of our wonderful Women of Horror. This week’s lovely and talented lady, Neve Campbell, is a twofold scream queen…I shouldn’t have to explain what that means. Neve is a product of our neighbors to the north, having been born in Guelph, Ontario. One could say that the desire to perform was in her blood from the start. Her father was a high school drama teacher and her grandparents on both sides were involved in the theater. Neve’s first love was dance, and after seeing a performance of The Nutcracker at the age of six, she enrolled at Erinvale School of Dance to pursue her love of ballet. She would eventually study at the National Ballet School of Canada, where she would perform in Sleeping Beauty and the ballet that initially got her hooked, The Nutcracker. Unfortunately, Neve endured numerous injuries

SCREAM’ Turned 20: Where Are They Now? Scream 5?

Last week (12/20) SCREAM —also known as the film that made slasher movies scary again— turned the big 2-0. Twenty years later, three sequels and a awesome TV series (which will be getting a season 3 in case you forgot) and now talk of a fourth sequel by the star and famed writer, where do we begin? So if you stood tuned to my articles, I’ve covered everything to do with SCREAM: The TV series, including reviews, recaps and season updates. MTV’s series acted as the final project based around the infamous SCREAM franchise that Horror Master and my idol Wes Craven, was attached to before his shocking and untimely death in 2015. Craven stood as director of the franchise since its 1996 launch with the writing hand of then fresh face Kevin Williamson. With three sequels on hand, Craven sadly couldn’t stay with us long enough to produce any others, but as previously stated he did manage to have

[TV Review] SCREAM’ Halloween Special: Total Bloodbath SPOILERS

Returning with a gory and Halloween’ esque Halloween special, SCREAM aired last night. [Brutally] Murdering a main character in the opening scene, this set the tone for the rest of the episode: total bloodshed. And I kinda was not complaining. This time around Keiran gets slashed by the so-called returning king of Lakewood Bloodshed, Brandon James. News spreads quick about his murder and it wasn’t long before Brooke came to break the news to Emma. During this Noah and Gustavo are being praised by their editor Jeremy Blair that their book on the Lakewood murders (oh, how I love the Scream 1 homages) was a hit and demands a sequel. Putting an all expense trip to Shallow Grove Island together for Noah to get inspiration by a different mass murderer, Anna Hobbs, Jeremy sends Noah, his friends and himself off. With Audry’s new girlfriend, Gina, staying back for work, Audry has enough time this episode to bond with Emma and

[TV Review/Recap] SCREAM: The Orphanage

Scream: The TV Series’ has been steadily producing a suspense factor that some horror fans mistake for laziness. Based on the Scream films, the TV series focuses on the relationships between the main characters, the psychological toll on them and the rising body count of their small town by the Ghost-Faced killer. Last episode brought Emma to get a call by her boyfriend which was soon to be revealed to be the killer using her boyfriend’s phone. The killer then proceeded to taunt Emma with a video of her boyfriend tied up inside a Carnival Funhouse. As the tension rose, Emma set off into the Funhouse and the Lakewood deputy followed. As Emma searched for Keiran, her boyfriend, the Lakewood deputy got attacked by Ghost-Face. The deputy on the ground unconscious, was soon found by Emma and momentarily after was then raided for a gun in which Emma used to shoot the masked killer only for her to shatter the

[TV RECAP] #MTVScream Let The Right One In

Opening pretty zen. Eli broke into a house and is making breakfast, Noah and Audry going for breakfast while discussing whether or not they should tell Emma about Audry’s bringing Piper (the first killer) to Lakewood and Emma gets questioned by the police after last episodes discovery that Riley Morra’s (she’s been dead since season 1) emails to Emma’s dad were coming from Emma’s laptop. So tying the more earlier episodes of the season to to this one, Emma revealed she went to an abandoned barn (of which Jake was being murdered at in a different part of the property) and found newspaper clippings of herself along with a creepy black shadow of man standing in the doorway. As the sheriff made it to the barn, he found yet another picture of Emma but this time with an adult standing behind her with his face scratched out. Could Emma’s dad be Brandon James? During all of this, Emma has a

SCREAM’: Psycho RECAP: Is Audry The Killer Or Fall Girl?

It already been one week since Scream premiered. Can you believe it? So episode 2 was pretty much slow paced. Not much of the killer’s appearance, but more red-haring action for Audry Jenson aka bi-curious, and Emma’s recovery. Last episode Emma broke into Troy James’ [Emma’s stepsister’s father’s brother] barn and then into his house, only to find newspaper clippings from the Lakewood massacre hung creepily on the walls. As Emma was snooping further into the home she’s met by somebody or something in the doorway, which leads her to SCREAM. Now in episode 2, that entire..whatever, didn’t even seem to have happened. It wasn’t even mentioned, it was as if it never happened! On a different note, this season seemingly mirrors I Know What You Did Last Summer, right down to the hallucinations. Which isn’t really a bad thing, Scream 3′ did the same thing sort of. [ahem] Remember Sidney Prescott’s nap on the couch in her ranch in
