Movie Review: Caesar And Otto’s Paranormal Halloween (2015)

Well, this ought to be a real treat; I get to review the sixth film in a series I have never heard of! It’s also a horror comedy, which I run hot and cold on (although there have been some good ‘uns as of late). Anyway, let me shift my ghoulish gaze upon Caesar and Otto’s Paranormal Halloween. CAOPH (I’m not writin’ that title out e’ery time… I just don’t have the stamina or a handle on that whole “copy”/”paste” sorcery the kids are all into these days) concerns the wacky misadventures of a couple of jack asses (the eponymous Caesar and Otto) as they are charged with care-taking a haunted house. What follows is nearly 90 minutes of supernatural shenanigans, famous fright flick parodies, and meta nonsense. Honestly, ol’ Caesar and Otto’s Paranormal Halloween ain’t half bad. The cast (comprised of folks I don’t know and folks I certainly do, like scream queens Felissa Rose, Tiffany Shepis, Brinke Stevens,

Captain Spaulding Isn’t The Only One Clowning Around In Zombie’s ‘Three From Hell’

In Rob Zombie’s 2003 film House of 1,000 Corpses, we were introduced to the Firefly family, Baby (Sheri Moon Zombie), Otis (Bill Moseley), Tiny (Matthew McGrory), Mother (Karen Black), and Captain Spaulding (Sid Haig). In 2005 the family was back to continue its reign of terror. Captain Spaulding became an iconic representation of bad clowns. Now, Zombie’s new film Three From Hell will arrive next year. A new image from the film has surfaced revealing Spaulding won’t be the only clown this time around. Zombie shared the image via social media with the question, “Who is this fucking clown?” We may not know a lot of the details about the character Mr. Baggy Britches, which is a twist on the classic sad clown, but we do know who is playing the role; it’s acting veteran Clint Howard. Howard has starred in over 250 films, many of them being horror films such as Night Shift, Silent Night, Deadly Night 5, Ticks,

Movie Review: Ugly Sweater Party (2018)

Pals Jody (Hunter Johnson) and Cliff (Charles Chudabala) are wicked excited to attend a Christmas party at a secluded cabin thrown by some hot n’ horny twins. Finding out at the 11th hour that the affair is one of those ugly sweater get-togethers, our dashing duo buy a sweater from a homeless man…but there’ s a catch; a decade previous murderer and Satanist Declan Rains (Sean Whalen) was beaten to death by John Q. Law while wearing the garment and he has vowed to return from the grave one day. Making matters worse, the camp that the event is being held at turns out to be a Bible camp and those aforementioned twins are now devout holy rollers. To add to all of that, ol’ Cliff becomes possessed by that sinister sweater and goes on a murder spree! With a premise like the one described above you probably think Ugly Sweater Party is going to be one hell of an

DVD Review: Death House (2017)

Agents Toria Boon (Cortney Palm) and Jae Novak (Cody Longo) partake in a virtual tour of a high tech prison named the Death House; an underground facility where prisoners are reformed via the use of holograms that let prisoners experience their past crimes again and again (using homeless folks for victims) for scientific study. Before long an EMP device detonates, and cuts power to the prison…and releases all of the homicidal maniacs within who follow the orders of Satanic Neo-Nazi Sieg (Kane Hodder)…who isn’t so fond of Boon. The agents flee ever further into the dark depths of that hellish prison where they must appeal for a boon from The Five Evils; the meanest supernatural son of a bitches to ever stride upon the Earth! The very first thing you will notice about Death House is the absolutely bat-shit insane amount of horror biz luminaries who appear on screen. along with the aforementioned Hodder (who really gets into his role
