Good News And Bad News For The New ‘Paranormal Activity’ Movie

We’ve got good news and bad news for the upcoming Paranormal Activity installment. Let’s go ahead and get the bad news out of the way first. The pandemic continues to wreak havoc on the film industry causing movie release dates to shift. News recently came that the movie would be going straight to Paramount+ this March. Now, Paramount has pulled the title from their release calendar which could mean either the film won’t be getting a theatrical release, or that it will be delayed. We are guessing that it will be delayed. Here’s the good news, the cast has just been announced. The Wrap is reporting that Emily Bader, Dan Lippert, Buck III, and Henry Ayres-Brown will star in the movie which has already begun filming. An Interview With The Vigil’s Director Keith Thomas And Actor Dave Davis

One of the best films to come of the horror genre this year is writer-director Keith Thomas‘ feature film debut, The Vigil, starring Dave Davis. I had the opportunity to speak with both Thomas and Davis, so of course, I jumped at the chance. The Vigil (review), which I am more than a little fond of, centers on Davis’ character Yakov who is in a bad place, he’s struggling after leaving the Jewish Orthodox church and trying to cope with enormous guilt. Broke and desperate, Yokov agrees to sit shiva for a family overnight. As if things weren’t bad enough for the poor guy, an evil entity is lurking inside the house. HorrorFuel: “I’m always fascinated by where the ideas and stories come from for movies. What inspired you to write The Vigil, which is fantastic by the way.” Keith Thomas: “Wow. Well, it’s kind of a two-fold answer. One aspect of it was mercenary, in that I wanted to

G.O. Parsons Talks ‘Willy’s Wonderland,’ Horror And Nicolas Cage In Our Interview

One of the most highly-anticipated horror movies of the year is Willy’s Wonderland starring Nicolas Cage. It won’t be long now until the film is released. Ahead of its arrival, I spoke with G.O. Parsons, the mastermind (and writer) behind this fun flick which I’ve been so looking forward to seeing. And boy did Parsons fill us in on some awesome details and stories from the set. Directed by Kevin Lewis, the movie centers on a quiet drifter (Cage) who is tricked into a janitorial job at the family attraction Willy’s Wonderland. The mundane tasks suddenly become an all-out fight for survival against a bunch of demonic animatronics. Fists fly, kicks land, titans clash. Only one side will make it out alive. Parsons is an actor turned writer and is making his feature debut after serving time as a playwright and the director of the Shark Week special Killer Sharks: The Attacks of Black December. Now, he is making one

Director Kimani Ray Smith Talks “Two Sentence Horror Stories”

“Two Sentence Horror Stories” is back with its second season of frightful delights. We sat down to talk with director Kimani Ray Smith who filled us in on his episode featured in the premiere, titled “Bag Man”. Smith, a jack of all trades in the film industry, also discusses his directing, acting, and stunt work on series like “Ghost Wars,” “Van Helsing,” and “The Order,” and films such as Deadpool 2, and the upcoming movie Snake Eyes: G.I. Joe Origins, and more. Horror Fuel: “How did you go from acting and stunts to directing?” Kamani Ray Smith: “I first started doing stunts – I’ve always wanted to do it – and I started a small production company. Back then we didn’t have YouTube so we would create content, short videos, music videos and take them to film festivals. Miles Doleac Talks Dinner Parties, Cannibalism, And So Much More In Our Interview

Back in 2016 I sat down with actor-writer-director Miles Doleac to talk about several of his films in an interview. With the upcoming release of his film The Dinner Party I thought it was fitting to catch up with him to talk about the film as well as what he’s been up to the last four years. In The Dinner Party, a couple is invited to an exclusive dinner party, not knowing that they are on the menu. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dh0XXNbdyjI[/embedyt] Horror Fuel: “It’s been a while since we got the chance to catch up. What have you been up to?” Miles Doleac: “I’m teaching at Loyola University in New Orleans, the film program there, which is a great gig. I’ve been gearing up for the release of The Dinner Party. Women in Horror Spotlight: Justina Walford

This week’s Women in Horror spotlight was selected, I confess, due to the fact that her wonderful new horror flick The Ladies of the House is out on VOD this week. (May 1st to be exact; mark it on your calendars!) She and her husband John Stuart Wildman are the writing team/creative whirlwind that is responsible for bringing the horror genre a story about rockabilly cannibal strippers. (Yes, you read right! Rockabilly. Cannibal. Strippers.) The film is an incredible joy to watch. Walford has been a huge part of the creation of the suspense driven thriller which is ridden with symbolism, foreshadowing, and excellent use of costume design and other elements to explain aspects of a story which would otherwise be unknown to the viewer. If you enjoy thinking and predicting outcomes in films as much as you enjoy viewing all the gorey details, you’ll love The Ladies of the House. Although her previous credits don’t include many horror titles,

Horror Legend Victor Miller Discusses ‘Friday the 13th’ And His Latest Project ‘Rock Paper Dead’

I had the opportunity to talk with a true horror legend, Victor Miller, Jason’s true father. Many of you will instantly recognize his name and the influence he has had on the horror genre. For those of you who don’t know his name, you should, he wrote the original ‘Friday the 13th’. Besides having a killer horror legacy, Victor has three Emmy Awards and Four Writer’s Guild awards to his name for his time as a TV drama writer. Victor is also a talented voice-over actor. Victor has been involved in many projects over the years. He is now working on a new project, the horror film ‘Rock Paper Dead’. Miller is working alongside Kerry Fleming on the psychological/slasher film about serial killer Peter Harris, nicknamed ‘The Doll Maker. When Peter Harris is pronounced “cured” and released from the mental asylum he returns home. Harris is able to keep his impulses in control until he meets a beautiful young woman
