Wyrmwood: Road Of The Dead – The Series

Back in 2014, writer-director Klah Roache-Turner unleashed his Australian zombie film ‘Wyrmwood: Road of the Dead‘ which got both a warm reception from genre fans and from us (review). For fans of ‘Wyrmwood’, and zombie fans in general, we have great news. The hit film is getting a spin-off a series. In fact, the official Facebook page for ‘Wyrmwood’ shared an image from the costume test of two of the film’s stars, Bianca Bradley and Jay Gallagher, who will also be appearing in the series. The caption on the image reads: “SO super-awesome to see these two legends in the studio again! The teaser’s gonna be BAAAAADASS!!!” In the comment section it states that the series will deliver “six hours of content instead of another 95-minutes.” While currently being written, the show will reportedly be on “a streaming platform rather than Aussie TV.” That’s a good thing for us here in the states. We will keep you updated. In the

Hannibal Star Wants To Sink His Teeth Into The Zombie Genre

Mads Mikkelsen tackled the role of cannibal Dr. Hannibal Lecter in the television series ‘Hannibal’. Now, it seems the incredibly talented actor has formed a taste for horror, he wants to sink his teeth into a new subgenre, zombies. During an interview with Birth Movies Death Mikkelson revealed that he really wants fight zombies. I love zombies. I do love watching Walking Dead. I do. There’s something so fascinating, where (Mads is getting very excited) when the zombies are moving sufficiently slowly, you actually want to live in that world, you know? Because you can just fucking chop the shit out of them!” He continued, “But you should always be aware! Don’t get too close up! Because that’s when that’s when they come. They are quite fascinating, the fast ones. Like World War Z. But it’s also too scary, man (laughs). That’s too fast for me. I wouldn’t stand a chance.” I could see Mikkelson on ‘The Walking Dead’ or

Trailer Arrives For Sam And Mattie’s Spring Break Zombie Massacre

Sam Suchmann and Mattie Zufelt, two best friends, who teamed up to write and star in their first full length film Spring Break Zombie Massacre. Let’s face it, there are zombie films everywhere you look, but this one is special. Making a film is never easy for a first timer, but when you add in the fact that both Sam and Mattie have Down Syndrome, completing the film is even more impressive. The film, directed by Robert Carnevale, features Sam and Mattie as high school students caught in a zombie outbreak. Zombies are not the only villains in the movie. It also features demons, bionics, and much more. And where would a spring break movie be without wild parties, there are plenty of those in the movie. The project caught the eye of Jersey Shore’s Pauly D, who starred in the film free of charge. Madaline Brumby, Tyler Schnabel, Justine S. Harrison, Johnny Collins, Dante Bonfatti, Alex Hollock, Anthony Hoang,

Stills Released From ‘Pride and Prejudice and Zombies’

Ahead of July 11’s San Diego Comic-Con, Screen Gems has released a series of photos from the long awaited movie ‘Pride and Prejudice and Zombies’ via Entertainment Weekly. The movie was both written and directed by Burr Steers, based on the novel by Seth Grahame-Smith and Jane Austin. ‘Pride and Prejudice and Zombies’ stars Jack Huston, Lily James, Bella Heathcote , Charles Dance, Lena Heady, Douglas Booth and ‘Dr. Who’ actor Matt Smith. In the fashion of Jane Austin’s classic tale a zombie outbreak has plagued the area. Relationships, made complex by the difference of their social classes in 19th century England, are put to the test as the undead rise. Lily James, who plays the role of the movie’s heroine Elizabeth Bennet, has made the comment “Rather than knitting and crocheting, they’re polishing muskets.” and that Elizabeth is “the most badass zombie slayer there is.” Unlike in the 2005 ‘Pride and Prejudice’, this movie is full of action, zombies

’28 Weeks Later’ Is Finally Getting A Sequel

It’s been eight years since ’28 Weeks Later’, the sequel to ’28 Days Later’, was released. Now it seems a third movie in the franchise may actually be coming . The new addition to the zombie/outbreak franchise will be titled ’28 Months Later’. The idea for the sequel came to Alex Garland, who wrote the script for ’28 Days Later’, while he was filming his new movie ‘Ex Machina’. Garland shared his idea with Andrew Macdonald, producer of both ’28 Days Later’ and ’28 Weeks Later’, who will be producing the new sequel. Alex Garland Garland has made it clear that he wants little to do with ’28 Months Later’, but does feel that it will make a great movie. He had this to say: “About two years ago, Danny [Boyle] started collaborating on the potential to make Trainspotting 2,” Garland explained. “In that conversation, an idea for ’28 Months’ arrived. I had a funny idea. I had a sort

Nazi Zombies Attack In ‘Sky Sharks’

A team of geologists, deep in the Antarctic, uncover an old Nazi laboratory containing the remains of dark experiments. The scientists accidentally unleash a top-secret project, modified, flying sharks and their mutated, super-human zombie riders. The only force that can stop the mutated weapons are the “Dead Flesh Four”, a team of undead U.S. soldiers that were killed and reanimated during the war in Vietnam. Marc Fehse is the director behind ‘Sky Sharks’. The cast includes Cary-Hiroyuki Tagawa (‘Planet of the Apes’), Robert LaSardo (Death Race), Tobias Schenke (Taxi) and Micaela Schafer (Seed 2). ‘Sky Sharks’ sounds like a great flick, but there is one catch, the people behind the zombie movie need your help to finish the project. They are running a Kickstarter campaign to help raise the money for production and to prove to investors that ‘Sky Sharks’ is worth the investment. Did I mention the cool perks their Kickstarter campaign offers, including shirts, DVDs, posters, set visits
