Over the past 48 hours Fans’ anger has gone from frustration to border-line hatred over the cliffhanger ending of The Walking Dead finale and the long wait to October to find out the identity of Negan’s victim. And it’s understandable. The writers of the series have pulled the trick several times before, and it wasn’t great the first time. The finale, billed as the greatest episode in the history of the show, was anything but. Yes, we got our first look at Negan, who was awesome, but much of the finale was disappointing to so many fans.

What I am about to say is going to make fans even angrier. Several cast members have commented that they do not know who was killed. The reason, the end of the scene hasn’t even been filmed yet. Meaning that the identity of the victim is not written in stone. However, there is a rumor that Norman Reedus (Daryl) is ready to leave the show to pursue other projects.

“We have not filmed it yet and I don’t know if the person knows yet or not,” Executive producer Greg Nicotero revealed to THR about the death of Negan’s victim. ”

A horde of fans are now expressing their anger and frustration by lashing out at the writers and heads of the series. In fact, not one, but three petitions are now circulating.

One petition is calling for showrunner Scott Gimple, to be fired or step down. No matter if you agree with the petition or not, you have to admit the past few episodes have been lazy and rushed with the characters doing things completely out of character. For example, half the group leaving Alexandria with an impending attack looming over the group, or Carol’s the quick 360 from badass to pathetic.

Another petition demands that the series reveal who Negan killed, before the end of May. And not make fans wait until the show returns in October.

The third petition is calling for a boycott of everything related to AMC and The Walking Dead until two things happen. The first, for the series to provide a concrete ending. The second request, for the show to vow never to end another episode with such a cliffhanger again.

Now matter if you agree with the petitions or not, they make one thing clear, people are serious about this show.
