Extra legs, deformed bodies, there is horrible suffering in Strange Nature.
James Ojala, who was part of the special effects team for films like Thor, Pacific Rim, and X-Men: The Last Stand, makes his writer-director feature debut with his practical effects film, Strange Nature and the just-released trailer looks fantastic.
Stephen Tobolowsky (Californication) leads the cast that includes Carlos Alazraqui, John Hennigan, Lisa Sheridan, Tiffany Shepis, David Mattey, Jonah Beres, and Bruce Bohne.
Based on a true unsolved ecological mystery, a struggling yet forceful single mother and her shy son start life over by moving in with her estranged hermit father in the backwoods of a small town as the local discovery of deadly offspring mutations threaten to spread from animals to humans.
The film is a combination of thriller, drama, and horror with the aim of shedding light on the fact that environmental issues like pollution have gone ignored for far too long and the effects could be devastating not only to nature and wildlife but humans as well. Strange Nature is expected to be unleashed on April 15, 2018.
