Ahead of the arrival of Warner Bros. Pictures and Legendary Pictures’ Godzilla vs Kong in theaters this March, Legendary Comics has announced a companion series that will allow fans to further explore the battle between the titans.

The companion series will feature two new prequel graphic novels along with an anthology series, two books for young fans, a behind the scenes art book, and a novelization.

The movie is set “In a time when monsters walk the Earth, where humanity’s fight for its future sets Godzilla and Kong on a collision course that will see the two most powerful forces of nature on the planet collide in a spectacular battle for the ages. As Monarch embarks on a perilous mission into uncharted terrain and unearths clues to the Titans’ origins, a human conspiracy threatens to wipe the creatures, both good and bad, from the face of the earth forever.”

Adam Wingard, the filmmaker behind The Guest, You’re Next, and Blair Witch directs the movie that features an all-star cast that includes Alexander Skarsgard (“True Blood”), Millie Bobby Brown (“Stranger Things”), Rebecca Hall (The Prestige), Demián Bichir (The Nun), Kyle Chandler (Super 8), and Brian Henry (Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse).

Witness the ultimate battle of giants, Godzilla vs. King Kong, in theaters and on HBO Max on March 31, 2021.
