Daniel XIII; the result of an arcane ritual involving a King Diamond album, a box of Count Chocula, and a copy of Swank magazine, is a screenwriter, director, producer, actor, artist, and reviewer of fright flicks…Who hates ya baby?

Down Serbia way, a dude keeps doing the wakey-wakey bag in town square and immediately gets ventilated by a mysterious cadre of well-dressed masked gunman. Then he wakes up and has to do that shit over, and over, and even mother fuckin’ over, and peep this, he gets closer to solving the mystery of his demise with each go around!
Making good use of that aforementioned square (although our hero gets further away with each dose of the ol’ murder biz, we always go back to that central location), Incarnation, the debut feature from Filip Kovacevic (who also co-wrote the film with Masa Senicic and Ivan Senicic) is a tense, fast-paced mystery that will have your ass on the eerie edge of your seat from start to finish!
Sure we’ve seen flicks like this before (Groundhog Day immediately comes to mind… though that one is a damn sight lighter than this nail-biter), but this picture has so many interesting angles (both narrative-wise and with some great visual choices as well), not to mention a twist or two regarding our protagonist’s plight that you absolutely will not see coming (and yes, I know… I know, there has to be at least one of you armchair sleuths that sussed out the how’s and why’s of it all before the credits rolled, and to you I say a hale and hearty “Who cares”)!
So the feature is tight and outta sight, but what of the bonus content on this DVD release from MVD Entertainment? Well, let’s just say you won’t have to revisit any part of this film after you watch the included trailer…
Bottom line; Incarnation is a time travel thriller done to a “T” with plenty of suspense, mystery, and even a glance or two into the human condition and it’s compelling from beginning to end… to end… to end…
