The Alamo Drafthouse and Firestone Walker Brewing have announced the release of their collaboration on a beer inspired by Guillermo del Toro’s new film ‘Crimson Peak’. The limited beer will be available in stores and on taps nation-wide this month.

The light-bodied red beer will look great in the Crimson Peak pint glasses, which features original artwork by Guy Davis. The beer gets it’s red hue from Hibiscus flowers. “Sourcing Hibiscus flowers and integrating them into a brew was an eye-opening experience,” Brynildson stated “But it created the perfect effect: a ruby-crimson color, limony-tart and berry-rich flavor and a clean citrus-flowery finish that begs for another sip.”

Del Toro’s ‘Crimson Peak‘ will open in theaters on October 16. ‘Crimson Peak’ is a dark, Gothic horror that focuses on the story of an aspiring writer who is torn between her love for an old friend and the appeal of a mysterious stranger. While struggling to cope with her past, she is married and swept away to a decaying old manor that has a life of it’s own. The halls of the sprawling manor are filled with spirits that have set their sites on her.
