‘Truth’ director, James Vanderbuilt, spoke in a recent interview with Collider about the upcoming prequel to ‘The Shining’, which he will be producing. Mark Romanek will be directing the prequel, whose current working title is ‘The Overlook Hotel’. Glen Mazzara of ‘The Walking Dead’ penned the film’s script.

The film is based on the prologue to ‘The Shining’, written by Stephen King. The prequel will follow the first owner of the Overlook Hotel, Bob T. Watson, a robber baron, at the turn of the 20th century, as he builds the grandest resort in America and the place he and his family will call home.
