WE TV has announced that they will air the entire first season of their new supernatural series ‘South of Hell’ marathon style on November 27, Black Friday. The first episode of ‘South of Hell’ will premier at 6pm (est). If you miss the marathon because you’re hitting the sales, don’t worry, after the marathon, all of the episodes will be available on VOD. I’ve been looking forward to seeing ‘South of Hell’ since we first reported on it back in last December.
The series is produced by Jason Blum of Blumhouse Production and is directed by horror super stars Eli Roth, Ti West, Jennifer Lynch, Rachel Talalay and Jeremiah Chechik. ‘South of Hell’ stars Mena Suvari (American Reunion, Don’t Blink), Zachery Booth (Damages), Bill Irwin (Interstellar), Drew Moerlein (V/H/S), Lydia Hearst (Cabin Fever: Patient Zero), Lamman Rucker (Why Did I Get Married), Paulina Singer (The Intern), Slate Holmgren (The Amazing Spider-Man 2) and’Dexter’ actress Lauren Velez.
The series takes place in Charleston, South Carolina, where Maria Abascal (Suvari) is a beautiful, 30-year-old demon hunter for fire. Together with her brother David (Booth), they hunt the demons the possess others. Like the people she helps, Maria has a demon of her own, Abigail, who feeds on the evil entities Maria exorcises from others. Maria and Abigail share a soul, but Maria desperately fights to free herself and will learn just how far Abigail will go to stay.
