War Veteran George Lockhart (Gene Jones) must deal with his estranged family, while facing dementia. George’s son Jerry (Peter Cilella) and his granddaughter Shelby (Hassie Harrison) persuade him to hire a live-in nurse, not knowing she is hiding a sinister secret.
‘Dementia’ stars Gene Jones of ‘The Sacrament’, Peter Cilla (Resolution), Marc Senter (Red, White & Blue), Graham Skipper (Almost Human), Molly McQueen (Carjacked), and Tony Denison from the series ‘The Closer’.
Producers Raphael Margules and J.D. Lifshitz made the statement “Our goal with Dementia was to create a new, unique experience in psychological dread and terror, having more in common with films like Whatever Happened to Baby Jane? or Repulsion than the latest ghost/found footage/torture movie. A horror film with real characters, drama, and tension, with scares coming from suspense and atmosphere, rather than jump scares and general gratuity. If Contracted made people afraid of being intimate with strangers Dementia will make them afraid to trust people altogether.”
IFC Midnight will release ‘Dementia’ in select theaters and on VOD on December 4th.
