IFC Midnight has acquired the North American rights to the upcoming remake of Eli Roth’s 2002 horror film, ‘Cabin Fever’. The new version of the film was directed by Travis Zriwny and was written by Randy Pearlstein, based on Eli Roth’s original screenplay. ‘Cabin Fever’ stars Gage Golightly, Matthew Daddario, Nadine Crocker, Samuel Davis and Dustin Ingram.
In the film five friends travel to a remote cabin in the woods for a little fun and relaxation. When the friends contract a flesh eating disease, things quickly go from bad to worst.
Zriwny had this to say about his film: “It was a great opportunity to recreate an iconic film for a new generation of horror fans. Iam a die hard fan of horror and the king of horror Eli roth trusted me to re-imagine his film. I was not going to fail.”
The new version of ‘Cabin Fever’ is set to be released some time next year. We were able to get our hands on a couple of behind the scenes photos from filming to tide you over until the trailer is released.
