After the release of the recent fifth installment to the Tremors‘ Franchise, Tremors 5: Bloodline, Kevin Bacon expressed interest in returning to the world of Graboids once again, as Val. According to Entertainment Weekly, Bacon’s wish has been granted, in the form of a new television series.
Bacon will not only star in the series, but serve as Executive Producer, along with Blumhouse Productions’ own Jason Blum and Universal. Andrew Miller will be penning the script.
At the moment, all we know is that the series will be returning to the town of Perfection, where the original film (1990) was set. The show is currently being shopped to different networks, with several interested.
I’m glad to here that Bacon will be returning to the franchise, but I hope a few of the other original cast members will sign on too. It would be great to see the gang back together, fighting Graboids and Ass-Blasters.
