SyFy has picked up the anthology series Channel Zero and has already green lit the series for two six-episode seasons.
The first season of Channel Zero is based on the creepypasta story “Candle Cove” by Kris Straub. It follows someone with obsessive recollections of a mysterious children’s television show from the 1980’s – and the show’s suspected role in a series of murders and deadly events from their childhood.
The new ‘Channel Zero’ series will be written by Hannibal’s Nick Antosca. The show will debut in the Fall of 2016, followed by season two in the Fall of 2017. There is no word yet which creepypasta story will be featured in season two.
