American Sniper star Bradley Cooper has boarded Max Landis’ film Deeper. The film follows a former astronaut hired to take a submersible to the lowest point in the ocean. As the submersible nears its destination, supernatural events begin to occur.

The project is being eyed by Paramount, Lionsgate, searchlight and other studios, with a deal expecting to be struck soon. Landis will produce along side David Goyer and Addictive Pictures. The film is expected to begin production in late 2016 or early 2017.
