On July 4th, Universal Studios Hollywood will open it’s doors to its new permanent attraction. Visitors will feel as if they have stepped right into the world of The Walking Dead, complete with walkers. The attraction won’t be hard to find, it is housed in a new custom built complex just inside the park’s main entrance.
To guarantee that visitors have an authentic Walking Dead experience, Universal Studios teamed up with the show’s executive producer and director Greg Nicotero, as well as the same effects company the show uses, Nicotero’s KNB EFX. Together they recreated the show’s walkers, both live versions and animatronics, along with props, iconic sets and the unique feel of The Walking Dead.
