Lately, there is a major trend of books and films being adapted for television, like ‘The Lost Boys‘, ‘The Dark Tower‘, ‘Let the Right One In‘ and ‘The Purge‘, just to name a few. News has now come that ‘War of the Worlds’ is being added to the adaption list.

MTV and Jeff Davis, creator of ‘Teen Wolf’, are teaming up to bring the adaption to TV. Davis will co-write the series  along with Andrew Cochran, according to THR.

‘War of the Worlds’ has been featured on both radio, television and film. H.G. Well’s novel was adapted for film in 1963. The latest version is Stephen Spielberg’s 2005 film starring Tom Cruise and Dakota Fanning.
