The original series followed the residents of a small Northeastern town who are stunned to learn that Laura Palmer, the homecoming queen, had been murdered. The Sheriff welcomes the help of FBI Special Agent Dale Cooper, who arrived to investigate the killing. As Cooper digs into the mystery, the town’s secrets gradually come to light. The mystery sets up an eerie chain of events that send the residents of Twin Peaks into a dark inspection of their own existence. The revival picks up twenty-five years later and the mysteries of Twin Peaks continues.
The 18-episode limited series will open with a two-part premiere on Showtime on Sunday, May 21st at 9pm.
