The first clip from Justin Benson and Aaron Moorhead’s The Endless will make you think twice about getting in the water.
In the clip we see a small rowboat in the middle of the lake. Benson dives in. While his friend waits for him to surface tension begins to build. Suddenly, Benson leaps into the boat in a panic, claiming that there was something in the water. When the shot zooms out you get a glimpse of something lurking below the surface.
Benson and Moorhead star alongside James Jordan, Tate Ellington, Shane Brady, and Kira Powell.
In the film, two brothers who return to the deadly cult from which they fled a decade ago to find that there might be some truth to the group’s otherworldly beliefs.
The writing-directing team of Justin Benson and Aaron Moorhead have worked on several projects together including 2014’s indie hit Spring, the film Resolution, and a segment in V/H/S Viral. They also have another film, titled Beasts, that will be out sometime next year.
The Endless is set for release on April 21, 2017.
