Back last summer we shared the trailer, that can only be described as insane, for the Russian superhero film Guardians. Directed by Sarik Andreasyan, the action-filled film was released in its home country back in February. Now, it’s finally coming to the US via Shout Factory.
The film, set during the Cold War, an organization called “Patriot” has created a superhero squad, which includes members of multiple soviet republics. For years, the heroes had to hide their identities, but in hard times they must show themselves again.
Valeriya Shkirando, Anton Pampushnyy, Alina Lanina, Sanzhar Madiyev and Sebastien Sisak co-star. The film was executive produced by Lenny Levi, Maksim Oleynikov and Daniel Shapovalov.
