Naomi Watts has signed on to both star and executive produce the upcoming psychological thriller The Wolf Hour, directed by Alistair Banks Griffin.
Variety quotes HanWay Films’ managing director Gabrielle Stewart as saying the “Son of Sam” inspired film is a “Hitchcockian tension in a densely layered world with a role that will exploit every fiber of Academy Award nominee Naomi Watt’s emotional range as an actor,” Stewart continued. “Director Alistair Banks Griffin has a clear vision of the world he is enveloping Watts in: all of our senses are going to be stimulated.”
Griffin, Brian Kavanaugh-Jones, Bailey Conway Anglewicz, Bradley Pilz will produce The Wolf Hour which is set to begin filming in New York City later this year. Linda Moran of Belladonna Productions, Fred Berger of Automatik, and Gabrielle Nadig will co-produce along with Watts.
Watts has appeared in films and series such as The Glass Castle, King Kong, The Ring, The Ring Two, ‘Twin Peaks’ and most recently the Netflix series ‘Gypsy’.
