At the beginning of this month, we reported that The Crow remake might actually be happening after a series of directors and actors backed out of the project in the past. Earlier in the year, we told you that Aquaman star Jason Momoa was attached to the project but there had been little news since, until now.

Yesterday Momoa teased that he and director Corin Hardy are still interested in making the film by sharing a painting of The Crow on Instagram with the caption: “I’ve been waiting for sooooo long. @corinhardy let’s do this brother aloha j”

The remake is said the be titled The Crow: Reborn and is rumored to be a more direct adaption of James O’Barr’s graphic novel. The plan is for Momoa to play the main character of Eric Draven, originally played by Brandon Lee in Alex Proyas’ 1994 film. With Aquaman filming complete now would be a good time to bring The Crow back to life.
Wondering what Momoa would look like as The Crow? Momoa dressed as Eric Draven a few years ago for Halloween giving us a taste of what we can expect.
