Apple has given the order for a straight-to-series psychological thriller from “Outcast” writer Tony Basgallop that will be executive produced by M. Night Shyamalan (The Sixth Sense, Split) who will also direct the pilot, Variety reports.
The news about the 10-episode series comes on the heels of this morning’s announcement that Shyamalan’s “Wayward Pines” series has been canceled by Fox.
Shyamalan will executive produce alongside Ashwin Rajan, Jason Blumenthal, Todd Black, Taylor Latham, and Steve Tisch of Escape Artists. No other details are available at this time.
The Sixth Sense director is currently filming his upcoming film Glass, the sequel to last year’s thriller Split.
