Netflix has unveiled the new trailer for their supernatural series “The Innocents”, starring Ravenous and Prometheus actor Guy Pearce, Sorcha Groundsell (Clique), and Percelle Ascott (Wizards vs. Aliens).
The series was created and written by Hania Elkington (The North London Book of the Dead) and Simon Duric (The Crown, Black Mirror). Farren Blackburn and Jamie Donaghue direct the series.
In the eight-episode first season, “The series will explore what happens when teenagers Harry (Ascott) and June (Groundsell) run away from their repressive family lives to be together. They’re quickly thrown into an extraordinary journey of self-discovery that derails their innocent dream: Secrets kept from them by their parents test their love to the breaking point, and the extraordinary gift they possess unleashes powerful forces intent on dividing them forever. Pearce will play a character named Halvorson.
New Pictures is producing with New Pictures founders Charlie Pattinson executive producing alongside Elaine Pyke and Willow Grylls, and Farren Blackburn (Doctor Who).
“The Innocents” premieres on Netflix on August 24, 2018.
