Hulu has unveiled new details about their genre series “Into the Dark” from Blumhouse Television, including the premiere date, the cast, and plot.
Starring Dermot Mulroney (Insidious 3), the series, which will run year-round, will release a new feature-length episode on the first Friday of every month. Every episode is inspired by a holiday from that month. For example, the October episode will be Halloween themed.
The first episode of “Into the Dark”, titled “The Body”, will premiere on October 5, 2018. The episode, ” follows a sophisticated, overconfident hitman who always carries out his work in style. He decides to take things even further one day by transporting his latest victim in plain sight, correctly assuming that self-absorbed LA partiers will simply be enamored with his elaborate “costume”. Eventually, as his window of opportunity to dispose of the body begins to close, Wilkes’ true colors reveal themselves to some groupies that have latched on to him. It becomes a battle of will and wits.”
Mulroney will make his first appearance in the series in November’s episode. “Flesh & Blood” as Henry, “a doting father trying to help his daughter, Kimberly, a teenager suffering from agoraphobia,” IndieWire reports. My Bloody Valentine filmmaker Patrick Lussier will direct the episode.
Mulroney stars alongside Tom Bateman (Murder on the Orient Express), Rebecca Rittenhouse, David Hull, Aurora Perrineau, and “Ash vs Evil Dead’s” Ray Santiago.
