Dennis Widmyer and Kevin Kolsch, the writing and directing duo behind Starry Eyes, are currently casting for their remake of Stephen King’s Pet Sematary. Jason Clarke (Winchester) and John Lithgow have already come on board. Today, another name has been added to the list.
Variety reports that Alien: Covenant star Amy Seimetz is in talks to play Rachel Creed, the wife of Louis and the mother of Ellie and Gage.
Jason Clarke will star as Louis Creed, the part originally played by Dale Midkiff (interview). John Lithgow (The Crown) will co-star as the Creed’s neighbor, Jud.
Lorenzo di Bonaventura, Steven Schnider, and Mark Vahradian will produce.
Pet Sematary, set to shoot this summer, will open in theaters on April 5, 2019.
