With The First Purge now showing in theaters, it was a perfect time for the USA Network to unveil the new trailer for their upcoming “The Purge” series at the San Diego Comic-Con.
Set in an America ruled by a totalitarian government, the show follows several characters living in a small city. During the 12 hour period where all crime is legal, each character is forced to discover how far they will go to survive the night.
The cast includes Billy Baldwin, Gabrial Chavarria, Jessica Garza, Hannah Anderson, Colin Woodell, Reed Diamond, Lili Simmons, Amanda Warren, and Paulina Gálvez. The series was written by The Purge creator James DeMonaco.
Emmy and Golden Globe winner Anthony Hemingway both directed and executive produced the first episode which premieres on Tuesday, September 4, 2018, at 10/9c.
