Sunday during the TCA summer press tour Netflix announced the premiere date for two series, “Maniac” and “Chilling Adventures of Sabrina“, Variety reports.
Maniac“, a 10-episode limited series, centers on the stories of Annie Landsberg (Emma Stone) and Own Milgrim (Jonah Hill), two strangers drawn to a mysterious pharmaceutical trial, each for their own reason. Annie’s disaffected and aimless, focused on a broken relationship with her mother and sister; Owen, the fifth son of a wealthy New York industrialist, has always struggled with a disputed case of schizophrenia.
Maniac” is set to premiere on September 21, 2018, and co-stars Justin Theroux. Patrick Somerville created “Maniac” which is directed by Cary Fukunaga.

The other series is “Chilling Adventures of Sabrina“, based on the Archie Comics by the same name. Starring Kiernan Shipka in the lead role, the series reimagines “Sabina the Teenage Witch”. Netflix version will be more grounded in horror and the occult.
Miranda Otto, Lucy Davis, Ross Lynch, Michelle Gomez, and Chance Perdomo also star in “Chilling Adventures of Sabrina“, set to premiere on October 26th. Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa (Riverdale) serves as showrunner.
