IFC Films’ Invites You To ‘Our House’ – Opening In Theaters

The supernatural thriller Our House opens in theaters this July from IFC Films. From director Anthony Scott Burns comes the story of Ethan (Thomas Mann), who is suffering from enormous guilt after his parents are killed in a car accident. After he quits a promising future at MIT he begins working on a revolutionary experiment in hopes that it will create a better future for him and his sister, only to discover that the machine has unleashed something in his home. Nicola Peltz, Kate Moyer, Percy Hynes White, John Ralston, and Christine Horne co-star. Written by Matt Osterman and Nathan Parker, Our House was inspired by the movie Ghost from the Machine. New Telltale Games ‘The Walking Dead: Final Season’ Trailer Premiers At San Diego Comic Con

The final chapter to “The Walking Dead” game series by Telltale Games will be coming August 10th where choices made by players will determine how the story’s main protagonist, Clementine’s chapter in “The Walking Dead” universe will end. Over time, fans of the game series watched, Clementine’s story evolve where she has become the symbol of what’s left of innocence in a world gone to hell, and watched her grow from a little girl who needed protection to a young woman who does the protecting. Enter The Upside Down In Indiana’s Largest Corn Maze Inspired By “Stranger Things”

Enter the upside down this September at Exploration Acres, Indiana’s largest corn maze and pumpkin patch. Fans of “Stranger Things” will want to flock to Lafayette to see the incredible maze that pays homage to Netflix’s hit series. News outlet WTHR 13 states that “The area of the 20-acre maze is equivalent to about 15 football fields and the available paths total over 10 miles, making this the largest attraction Exploration Acres has attempted to date.” Described as an “immersive environment” for fans of “Stranger Things,” only from above you can truly appreciate the image that was painstakingly carved into the cornfield. This year, new technology allowed us to plant the maze design like an inkjet printer, dropping seeds into the precise design we imagined,” Tim Fitzgerald president of Exploration Acres stated. Before I begin this revoltin’ review let me state that Henrique Couto is both a pal and a co-conspirator in the horror picture-makin’ biz…therefore this is going to be a bit more of a “why I think this release is worth your while” than a blow by blow technical breakdown of the monstrous minute or some such shit; anyway… Henrique Couto, simply put, is one of the hardest workin’ dudes in the horror biz today; don’t believe me, just feast your putrid peepers on his Imdb…I’ll wait…for shit’s sake where have you been?!! Was The Set Of ‘The Nun’ Haunted?

At this past weekend’s SDCC new footage from Corin Hardy‘s upcoming Conjuring spin-off, The Nun was shown, unfortunately, it hasn’t made its way on to the internet yet. But that’s not all, during The Nun panel, Hardy recounted a creepy story about a Romain Castle and some paranormal activity experienced during filming. He went into more details during a conversation with Cinema Blend. Was the set of The Nun haunted? Hardy seems to think so. Production Begins On ‘Daniel Isn’t Real’ Starring Patrick Schwarzenegger

SpectreVision and ACE Pictures announced today that principal photography has begun in New York City on the film Daniel Isn’t Real, the second feature from writer/director Adam Egypt Mortimer (Some Kind of Hate). Patrick Schwarzenegger (“The Long Road Home”, Midnight Sun) and Miles Robbins (Blockers, David Gordon Green’s Halloween) star alongside Sasha Lane (American Honey, Hearts Beat Loud), and Hannah Marks (“Dirk Gently’s Holistic Detective Agency”). In Daniel Isn’t Real, “troubled college freshman Luke (Robbins) suffers a violent family trauma and resurrects his childhood imaginary friend Daniel (Schwarzenegger) to help him cope. Movie Review: Clickbait (2018)

Bailey (Amanda Colby Stewart) is a top content creator for hot social media site str33ker who is unfortunately falling to second place in the online popularity contest (thanks to her rival Laura getting cancer and therefore the public’s sympathy). In the social circles she travels in this makes her a bit of a pariah…but that is going to be the least of Bailey’s problems as a black gloved, Trump masked, psycho stalks the streets and has acquired a key to her apartment thanks to a night of drinking with a poop…well, a person dressed as a poop anyway; her roommate/camera woman/long suffering friend Emma (Brandi Aguilar). Soon this mysterious maniac begins taking videos from within our heroine’s home and posting them to Bailey’s st33ker page…and they are becoming mega popular which doesn’t make Bailey too anxious to solve the crime…and with the amazingly inept Detective Frank Dobson (Seth Chatfield) assigned to the case there isn’t much chance of that happening

‘Remothered: Tormented Fathers’ Is Praised By Horror Gaming Legend

“Remothered: Tormented Fathers”, a survival horror video game that’s a throwback to classic interactive entertainment titles that define the genre. With the impending console release less than 24 hours away (July 25, 2018) the game and its hardworking developers received some (well deserved) recognition and praise from a legend in the horror gaming field. Chris Darril, creative director of “Remothered: Tormented Fathers” received a tweet from Keiichiro Toyama who praised the game. Toyama is the creator of critically acclaimed gaming horror phenomenon “Silent Hill”. To put it in perspective to some, this is the equivalent of Leonardo da Vinci saying the sketch you just drew was amazing, Dave Grohl liking a melody you were humming, or Alfred Hitchcock praising your two-minute long film project. Watch The 23 Minute “Castle Rock” Documentary

Later this month take a trip to Stephen King’s “Castle Rock” with Hulu’s new series from J.J. Abrams and King. Today, we have a 23-minute documentary to share with you about the series starring André Holland, Melanie Lynskey, Sissy Spacek, Bill Skarsgård, Jane Levy, and Scott Glenn. The 10-episode “psychological-horror series set in the Stephen King multiverse, Castle Rock is an original story that combines the mythological scale and intimate character storytelling of King’s best-loved works, weaving an epic saga of darkness and light, played out on a few square miles of Maine woodland.” Sam Shaw and Dustin Thomason developed the series for television and serve as executive producers along with J.J. Abrams, Ben Stephenson, and Liz Glotzer. The series is from Bad Robot Productions in association with Warner Bros. Television. The first three episodes of “Castle Rock” will premiere on Hulu on Wednesday, July 25th.

Movie Review: Dead Night (2017)

Dead Night opens in the year 1961 as strange hooded figures abduct a young woman and impregnate her with their demon seed…which goes about as well as one would expect (I mean really, has “raped by a monster to sire it’s love child” ever had a happy ending?) Flash forward to 2015, and a dysfunctional family (and one friend) heads out in the family truckster to visit a remote cabin, under which a large quantity of buried iron is said to exist…why is that important? Because said deposit can supposedly render a new age cure for the family’s ailing patriarch. Of course this location is still home to those creepy creatures mentioned above, and they’ve been rubbin’ up on some corkscrew cocoon thing gettin’ it’s tentacles all a-twitter.
