After 10 years, Zombieland 2 is really happening! This is not a drill!
News has come today, via Deadline, that Vampire Academy actress Zoey Deutch will be starring along with returning cast members Woody Harrelson, Emma Stone, Jesse Eisenberg, and Abigail Breslin. Reportedly Deutch will be playing the role of Eisenberg’s love interest.
Ruben Fleischer (Zombieland, Venom) will be returning to the director’s chair for the sequel written by the original film’s scribes Paul Wernick and Rhett Reese, who are also serving as executive producers. Gavin Polone will once again be producing.
In Zombieland 2 the group must face many kinds of new zombies as well as other survivors. As if the evolving zombies aren’t enough, the group must face growing pains within their strange little family.
Zombieland 2 begins shooting early in next year and will open in theaters on October 11, 2019.
