Paramount Pictures has just announced that the creature feature Crawl will arrive in theaters this summer from director Alexandre Aja, who has serious horror cred. Aja was also behind High Tension, Hills Have Eyes, Mirrors, Piranha, and Horns.
Kaya Scodelario stars along with her fellow Maze Runner actor Barry Pepper in the movie in which Scodelario plays a young woman who, while struggling to save her father during a Category 5 hurricane, finds herself trapped inside a flooding house and fighting for her life against Florida’s most savage and feared predators.”
Sam Raimi, the man who brought us Evil Dead, “Ash vs Evil Dead,” and several Spider-Man movies, produces alongside Craig J. Flores (Fathers and Daughters, 300: Rise of an Empire).
Crawl, a Ghost House Pictures production, hits theaters on August 19, 2019.
