Are you ready for this? Resident Evil is headed to a TV near you. That’s right the hit film franchise is getting a small screen adaptation from streaming giant Netflix, Deadline has confirmed.
Constantin Film, who was also behind the movie franchise that started back in 2002, based on the Capcom gaming franchise, is also behind the upcoming series which will be available globally.
The show will explore the inner workings of the Umbrella Corporation which caused the global outbreak of the T-virus.
Not only are we getting a “Resident Evil” series, we are also getting a new reboot of the franchise from director Johannes Roberts (47 Meters Down).
