This April, The Hole in the Ground, which is already being called “one of the scariest film of 2019” is set to arrive on home video from Lionsgate.
Director Lee Cronin makes his directorial debut with the supernatural thriller whose trailer gives us a taste of what left audiences terrified at Sundance.
In The Hole in the Ground, a single mother named Sarah (Seána Kerslake) moves to a secluded new home in a rural town with her young son Chris (James Quinn Markey). After Chris disappears in the night into the forest behind their house Sarah discovers an ominous, gaping sinkhole. When Chris returns Sarah notices disturbing behavioral changes and begins to worry that the boy who came back is not her son.
Simone Kirby, James Cosmo, Steve Wall, Eoin Macken, and Kati Outinen round out the cast.
On April 30th discover The Hole in the Ground on DVD.
Just a heads up, after watching the trailer you may never look at children the same way again.
