Jen and Sylvia Soska have unleashed the first trailer for their bloody, brutal remake of David Cronenberg’s 1977 horror Rabid.

Laura Vandervoort (Supergirl) stars as Rose, a woman who wants to become a fashion designer. After an accident leaves her scarred, Rose undergoes a radical, untested treatment that unleashes a vicious contagion.

Also known as the “Twisted Twins,” Jen and Sylvia Soska gave horror fans Dead Hooker in a Trunk, 2012’s American Mary, See No Evil 2, and Vendetta, starring Dean Cain and Paul “The Big Show” Wight.

Rabid is set to premiere at London’s Frightfest which runs from August 22 through the 26th. The Soska sisters will introduce the film at the screening.
