I Spit on Your Grave: Déjà vu (review) actress Jamie Bernadette stars in Ash and Bone. Bernadette has taken over the role originally announced to be played by Scout Taylor-Compton.
The story follows a rebellious teen named Cassie Vanderbilt (Angelina Danielle Cama), whose wild streak escalates as her caring father Lucas (Harley Wallen) decides to take her and his new wife Sarah (Kaiti Wallen) out of the city for some bonding and quality time together. But after Cassie crosses the infamous McKinley family (Jimmy Doom, Erika Hoveland), it becomes clear that sometimes danger lies hidden in the weeds, ready to strike at any moment.
Harley Wallen directed the film, which recently wrapped production, from a script by Bret Miller. Mel Novak (Bruce Lee’s Game of Death) also stars in the Ash and Bone from Painted Creek Productions, Cama Productions, and Auburn Moon.
Calhoun Koenig (“Law & Order SVU”) and Shane Hagedorn (Wild Faith) round out the cast.
I wanted to make a horror return to House of Wax and Texas Chain Saw Massacre-style of films, with a bit of a Rob Zombie feel and the imagery of Alex Gasparetto.” said Wallen.
