Back in September, we reported that Fede Alvarez (Evil Dead, Don’t Breathe) had signed on to produce Legendary’s upcoming reboot of The Texas Chainsaw Massacre.

Today, Deadline confirms that Alvarez and his writing partner Rodo Sayagues are officially on board to write, develop, and produce several projects for Legendary under their Bad Hombre Films banner. That deal includes The Texas Chainsaw Massacre reboot.

Newcomer Chris Thomas Devlin will pen the script for the reboot of the 1974 original.

We’ll keep you posted.
