“A Haunting Of Hill House” and Doctor Sleep director Mike Flanagan is a busy man. Not only is Flanagan bringing “The Haunting of Bly Manor” to Netflix, but news has also come that Flanagan will be working on another horror series for the streaming giant.
Titled “Midnight Mass” the seven-episode series follows an isolated island community who experiencing miraculous events and frightening omens following the arrival or a charismatic, mysterious priest.
Over the weekend Flanagan revealed on Twitter that filming on “Midnight Mass” will soon begin in Vancouver and that the incredible filmmaker will be directing the series himself.
“Midnight Mass” has ties to two other of Flanagan’s films. Midnight Mass is the title of the book written by the character Maddie Young in Hush. The title appears again in Flanagan’s adaptation of Stephen King’s Gerald’s Game.
Heading back to Vancouver to finish THE HAUNTING OF BLY MANOR, and to start MIDNIGHT MASS. 2020 is already shaping up to be pretty damn busy… can’t wait to show y’all what we’re up to.
