‘Candyman’ Delayed Due To Pandemic

With theaters still closed due to the coronavirus pandemic, it’s no surprise that Universal is delaying the release of the reboot of 1992’s Candyman. Originally set to arrive in theaters on June 12th, the movie is now being released on September 25, 2020. Director Nia DaCosta‘s Candyman returns to the neighborhood where the legend began, where Cabrini-Green housing projects once stood. We all know not to say the legend’s name five times, but the people in the movie co-written and produced by Jordan Peele say it anyway and bring down Candyman’s wrath upon themselves. Blu-ray Review: Fist of Fear, Touch of Death (1980)

Adolph Caesar (surprisingly not the bi-product of Cobra experiments to resurrect Serpentor, but rather an Oscar nominated actor) discusses an upcoming (and surely complete and utter bullshit) karate championship event set to take place at Madison Square Garden. The prize awarded from said (definitely made-up) contest of legendary legends? Why, the title of Bruce Lee’s successor (a full seven years after his death no less… and as is the way here, not even remotely a real fuckin’ thing), naturally. And we’re off to the races with Fist of Fear, Touch of Death… As you surely guessed, after some high-kickin’ hoo-ha at The Garden, the film then switches to a flashback to earlier in the day as legendary exploitation actor Fred “The Hammer” Williamson (credited here as “Hammer, the Ladies Man”), whom most of you lot would recognize from his role in the Rodriguez/Tarantino fang-bang flick From Dusk ’til Dawn, has just banged some rando broad five times (and she’s primed

Game Review: ‘Resident Evil 3’

CAPCOM was awesome enough to allow me a chance to experience to see that regardless of what’s going on in the world right now, there could be zombies and a large bio-weapon chasing me! Of course, I’m talking about Resident Evil 3, the latest installment in the remake boom that came to the franchise last year with the outstanding Resident Evil 2, but does RE3 keep the momentum going? This is a spoiler-free review so it’s safe sailing ahead! Resident Evil 3 takes place slightly before and during the events of Resident Evil 2 (just like in the original) and follows our heroine Jill Valentine as she tries to escape the horrors of Raccoon City as the T-Virus outbreak turns the citizens into Zombies. Jill must also face mutants and the fearsome Nemesis that pursues her with the objective to kill members of the S.T.A.R.S. unit. I’m quite impressed with how easy the controls are and being able to remember

A woman is convinced her baby was ripped from her womb and taken away by a sinister cult – but no one believes her bizarre story – in the gripping paranoid thriller The Dark Red, the latest film from the creator of the James Franco-starring horror mystery The Vault. A young woman is committed to a psychiatric hospital after claiming that her newborn has been abducted by a secret society called the Dark Red – an ancient, underground cult that harvests and controls an incredibly rare blood type that gives one the power to hear and guide another person’s thoughts. The woman, Sybil, claims she is special, that she carries a pure and powerful strain of the blood like nothing seen before, and that the society sees her and her child as central to its next evolution – or perhaps its greatest threat, should she turn against them.
