IFC Midnight announced today that their witchy horror film The Wretched‘s release is expanding by adding 45 more Drive-Ins to their list this weekend! We also have a treat, a behind the scene video to share with you that features the cast discussing their roles.

The Wretched, which we called “a film that deserves to be seen.” in our review, is from Brett Pierce and Drew Pierce, the writing-directing team behind the zombie cult hit Deadheads.

Starring John-Paul Howard (Hell or High Water) and Piper Curda (I Didn’t Do It), the film centers on a rebellious teenage boy, Ben, who is sent to live with his father for the summer and work at the local marina in order to gain some form of discipline. The idyllic tourist town offers little solace for him, however, as he is forced to deal with the local, privileged teens and his father’s new girlfriend. Ben’s problems grow increasingly disturbing when he makes a chilling discovery about the family renting the house next door when a malevolent spirit from the woods takes ahold of the parents and starts playing a sinister game of house, preying upon the children.”

Jamison Jones, Zarah Mahler, Kevin Bigley, and Blane Crockarell also star.

A chilling, modern spin on the legend of the witch, The Wretched is now out on Digital and On Demand from IFC Midnight. Check with a drive-in near you to see if this fantastic flick is playing.
