From the producer of the John Wick franchise and director Ric Roman Waugh comes Greenland, the disaster thriller starring Gerard Butler. News has come that the film, which has been delayed multiple times, is bypassing US theaters and is heading straight to premium VOD platforms this December after being a worldwide hit.

 

From STXFilms, Greenland centers on John Garrity (Gerard Butler), his estranged wife Allison (Morena Baccarin), and young son Nathan making a perilous journey to their only hope for sanctuary. Amid terrifying news accounts of cities around the world being leveled by the comet’s fragments, the Garrity’s experience the best and worst in humanity.

 

Starring Butler, Baccarin, Roger Dale Floyd, Scott Glenn, David Denman, Hope Davis, Andrew Bachelor, and Joshua Mikel,  this intense thrill ride is produced by Butler, Basil Iwanyk, and Alan Siegal.

Greenland premieres on premium VOD platforms on December 18, 2020, followed by its debut on HBO and HBO Max in 2021.
