Yesterday we reported that Isabelle Fuhrman will be returning to reprise her role of Esther in the upcoming prequel to the disturbing 2009 film Orphan.
We can now report that the cast has gained another star, Possessor (out today on VOD and Digital) actor Rossif Sutherland, half-brother of Kiefer Sutherland, Deadline announced. The cast also includes The Omen‘s (2006) actress Julia Stiles.
In the movie, titled Orphan: First Kill, “Leena Klammer orchestrates a brilliant escape from an Estonian psychiatric facility and travels to America by impersonating the missing daughter of a wealthy family. But Leena’s new life as “Esther” comes with an unexpected wrinkle and pits her against a mother who will protect her family at any cost.”
William Brent Bell (The Boy) is directing from the script written by David Coggeshall (The Haunting in Connecticut 2) for Dark Castle Entertainment and Entertainment One.
