Next month, you can bring home director Mike P. Nelson‘s (The Domestics) Wrong Turn, a new take on the hillbilly cannibal slasher released in 2003.
In the film, “Backwoods terror and never-jangling suspense meet when Jen (Charlotte Vega) and a group of friends set out to hike the Appalachian Trail. Despite warnings to stick to the trail, the hikers stray off course—and cross onto land inhabited by The Foundation, a hidden community of mountain dwellers who use deadly means to protect their way of life.
Suddenly under siege, Jen and her friends seem headed to the point of no return— unless Jen’s father (Golden Globe nominee Matthew Modine) can reach them in time.”
Damian Maffei (The Strangers: Prey at Night, Haunt), Bill Sage (“Hap and Leonard”), Emma Dumont (“The Gifted”), Chaney Morrow (Haunt), Valerie Jane Parker (“Greenleaf”), and David Hutchinson (“American Horror Story”) also star in the film.
The original movie’s writer Alan B. McElroy returned to write the script for the movie which is set to arrive on VOD, Blu-ray, and Digital on Tuesday, February 23, 2021.
