EPIX® and Blumhouse have just announced the lead cast member of the upcoming horror film Unhuman, including two-time Emmy nominated actress Brianne Tju (Light As a Feather, I Know What You Did Last Summer), Benjamin Wadsworth (Your Honor), Uriah Shelton (Freaky), and Ali Gallo (The Carpool).

Unhuman centers on “a group of high school students. After their school bus crashes while on a field trip, relationships are tested amongst the students once they realize they are being stalked by a mysterious attacker who intends to drive them out of their bucolic adolescence and straight into a horrifying fight to survive.”

Marcus Dunstan is directing from a script by Paul Soter (Club Dread). Dunstan and Soter previously collaborated with Blumhouse Television on the horror anthology series Into the Dark – Dunstan directed the Thanksgiving episode Pilgrim, while Soter penned the Christmas-themed A Nasty Piece of Work. As a screenwriter, Dunstan’s credits include Saw IV, V, VI, and Saw: The Final Chapter and Scary Stories To Tell in the Dark. He has also written and directed The Collector trilogy and The Neighbor.

The ensemble cast also includes Peter Giles (Into the Dark: Pilgrim), Josh Mikel (The Walking Dead), Lo Graham (Scream Queens), Blake Burt (Pitch Perfect 2), Drew Scheid (Halloween), CJ LeBlanc (Just Mercy), and Dana Wing Lau (Fung Family Feast) in supporting roles.

Executive producers include Jason Blum, Chris McCumber, and Jeremy Gold for Blumhouse, and Alex Kruener.

Production for Unhuman is currently underway in New Orleans.
