Johannes Robert‘s (47 Meters Down, Strangers: Prey at Night) Resident Evil: Welcome to Racoon City is returning the franchise back to its horror roots, which is evident in the new horror-filled trailer. The movie is taking us back to the beginning to discover the source of evil ravaging through the small Midwestern town of Raccoon City.
“Once the booming home of pharmaceutical giant Umbrella Corporation, Raccoon City is now a dying Midwestern town. The company’s exodus left the city a wasteland…with great evil brewing below the surface. When that evil is unleashed, the townspeople are forever…changed…and a small group of survivors must work together to uncover the truth behind Umbrella and make it through the night.”
Written and directed by Johannes Roberts (47 Meters Down, Strangers: Prey at Night), the action-packed movie stars Kaya Scodelario, Hannah John-Kamen, Robbie Amell, Tom Hopper, Avan Jogia, Donal Logue, and Neal McDonough.
Inspired by the acclaimed video game, Resident Evil: Welcome to Raccoon City will premiere exclusively in theaters on November 24, 2021, from Sony Pictures.
